Hi there, I'm Rebecca! What you will find on this blog is Pokemon, Star Trek, Tron, and whatever else happens to tickle my fancy. Be warned that sometimes I do go on spams. I mostly reblog things and I have a tendency to make whiny text posts about my stupid teenage life, but I try to put them under cuts to spare the dashes of my followers. I'm fairly shy and largely uninteresting, therefore I'm flattered and flabbergasted by the fact that I have any followers at all! I'm not at all offended if I'm unfollowed, so don't feel like you have to stay once you're here. I don't follow back unless I've looked through your blog and seen a lot of things I like there. This is way too long now, so I will simply say: Welcome to my blog/brain.

End Of An Era of the Day: After 40 years in business, Borders announced today that it will be closing all remaining stores and laying off 11,000 employees.
“We were all working hard towards a different outcome,” Borders Group President Mike Edwards said in a statement, “but the headwinds we have been facing for quite some time, including the rapidly changing book industry, e-reader revolution, and turbulent economy, have brought us to where we are now.”
Borders had hoped to be saved from shuttering by a last minute bid, but the deal fell apart with no one else stepping up to buy the troubled book and music retailer.

there’s always barnes and nobel ;_;
But Barnes and Nobel is in just as much trouble as Borders was/is. :c I guess since everyone will be forced to go there instead it might be okay, but still.

This kind of reminds me of “You’ve Got Mail”. Seeing Meg Ryan close the Shop Around the Corner was heartbreaking.
